OUR WEATHER POLICY
What happens if it rains?
Being an outdoor event, Community Cinema Under The Stars is at the mercy of mother narure.
Our movies will go ahead in most weather conditions such as intermittent or potential rain.
A cancellation will only be considered if the conditions present a clear danger to patrons or staff.
If the decision is made to cancel an event it will be made by the Event Management.
Event managment will assess many factors before making this decision including but not limited to taking advise from The Bureau of Meterology on the state of incoming weather and heeding weather alerts where they have been issued.
By attending our movie night, you as our patron, accept the risk that weather you may find uncomfortable may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets are non-refundable.
What if the session is cancelled?
If a session is cancelled, your tickets will be transferable for another night in the current season at any of our locations.
Nightime temperatures can and do drop so please pack your movie packs accordingly.
How and when will I find out about a cancellation?
The Event Management will be constantly monitoring ground conditions.
We try to cancel as early as possible, but the decision is rarely made before 5pm.
Since the weather in Melbourne can be unpredicatble (Crowded House says " 4 Seasons in One day") cancellations may need to occur at any time up to or during the screening.
In the rare event that a session is cancelled, We will communicate with Patrons and ticket holders via the following methods where applicable
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS Via our Mobile App
SIGNAGE will be erected on site.
Please assume the session is going ahead, unless you receive the notification via the above methods.
If you dont attend without receiving notice, your tickets will be forfeited.
Session was cancelled
No problem, you can use your tickets again for another session in the current season and should this occur we will post instruction on how to redeem you tickets for the next event.
